Course length: 45 hours (state mandated minimum)
State mandated training course taught be a certified/licensed instructor required to apply for your Level III Security Commission. Course includes Legal Authority, Use of Force/Deadly Force, Handcuffing, Conflict Resolution, Defensive Tactics, Basic Firearms Training, Firearms Proficiency, etc.
Does not include required MMPI Psychological Test or state licensing fee.
Required Equipment: Handgun (duty handgun), 50 rounds of ammunition, 12 gauge shotgun and 9 shotgun shells*

Level III Security Officer Commission Renewal Training Course $110

Pre-requisites: Texas DPS PSB Level III Security Officer Commission
Course length: 6 hours (state mandated minimum)
State mandated training course taught be a certified/licensed instructor required to renew your Level III Security Commission. Course includes Board Rules, Ethics, Emergency Procedures, Use of Force/Deadly Force, Basic Firearms Refresher, Firearms Proficiency, etc.
Does not include required MMPI Psychological Test or state licensing fee.
Required Equipment: Handgun (duty handgun), 50 rounds of ammunition, 12 gauge shotgun and 9 shotgun shells*

Level IV Personal Protection Officer (PPO) Training Course $340

Pre-requisites: Currently employed by a licensed security company (call for details).
Course length: 15 hours (state mandated minimum)
State mandated specialized training course taught by a certified/licensed instructor required to apply for your Level IV Personal Protection Officer License. Course includes Options in Personal Protection, Security Consciousness, Rules of Personal Protection, Use of Force Continuum, Unarmed Defensive Tactics, Oleoresin Capsicum (OC Spray) Aerosol Projector Training, etc.
Does not include required MMPI Psychological Test or state licensing fee.
Required Equipment: Duty belt, handcuffs, handcuff case, and a working knowledge of handcuffs. Comfortable clothing and footwear is recommended. No firearms, edged weapons or OC spray permitted.

Defensive Handgun Tactics $300
Pre-requisites: Participant must possess one of the following; Texas C.H.L., PSB Non-Commission License, PSB Security Officer Commission License, PSB Private Investigators License, PSB Personal Protection Officer License, active Peace Officer certification or instructor approval (call for details).
Course length: 4 hours (Day One), 7 hours (Day Two)
This course will challenge all the popular myths surrounding handgun employment, tactics and techniques. You will learn proven techniques for shooting with one and two hands, from different firing stances and handgun retention tactics in a close quarters combat environment traditional to criminal attacks. Course is designed to incorporate as much realism as possible by using obstacles, 3-D targets and multiple shooting positions.
Required Equipment: Handgun (duty handgun), spare magazines or speed loaders, holster and 8 boxes (400 rounds) of ammunition (minimum).

Basic Handcuffing for Security Officers Training Course $50
Pre-requisites: Participant must possess one of the following; Texas C.H.L., PSB Non-Commission License, PSB Security Officer Commission License, PSB Private Investigators License, PSB Personal Protection Officer License, active Peace Officer certification or instructor approval (call for details).
Course length: 4 hours
Course is designed to train, educate and evaluate the security officer in the proper and legal use of handcuffs as a restraining device. Course includes arrest authority, mechanics of an arrest, approaching, handcuffing and escorting suspects as well as removing the handcuffs. A must for any security officer who currently carries handcuffs on duty. Certification depends on satisfying two specific tests; proficiency and knowledge. Required Equipment: Handcuffs, handcuff case, and a working knowledge of handcuffs. Comfortable clothing and footwear is recommended. No firearms, edged weapons or OC spray permitted.

Monadnock Expandable Baton (Basic) Training Course $100
Pre-requisites: Participant must possess one of the following; PSB Security Officer Commission License, PSB Private Investigators License, PSB Personal Protection Officer License, active Peace Officer certification or instructor approval (call for details).
Course length: 4 hours
This program involves lecture, demonstration, hands-on skill development and testing. Participants will learn key definitions, baton nomenclature, maintenance procedures, and target areas as denoted on the Monadnock Baton Chart. They will learn minimum competency in stance, patterns of movement, grip positions, methods of carry, two draws from a holster, two-handed blocks for various plains of attack, one and two-handed counter-strikes, and baton retention skills. Certification depends on satisfying two specific tests; proficiency and knowledge.
Required Equipment: Duty belt, straight baton (expandable), baton holder, handcuffs and key - No firearms, edged weapons or OC spray permitted.

Oleoresin Capscicum (OC) Spray Training Course $75
Pre-requisites: Participant must possess one of the following; PSB Security Officer Commission License, PSB Private Investigators License, PSB Personal Protection Officer License, active Peace Officer certification or instructor approval (call for details).
Course length: 6 hours
This program involves lecture, demonstration, hands-on skill development and testing. Participants will learn key definitions, nomenclature, composition and subject target areas. They will learn minimum competency while being subject to OC distress, executing a series of drills to include threat assessment, baton strikes and baton blocks, handcuffing, subject control and decontamination. Certification depends on satisfying three specific tests; contamination, proficiency and knowledge.
Required Equipment: Duty belt, handcuffs and key - No firearms or edged weapons permitted.

Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act (LEOSA) of 2004 (HR218)
Proficiency Qualification Course $45
Pre-requisites: Participant must be a Qualified Retired Law Enforcement Officer as defined by 18 USC 926C(c).
Examples are retired Texas or Out-of-State law enforcement officers, retired federal agents (USSS, FBI, DEA, BATF, Treasury) or a retired/separated U.S. Military Police veterans.
Course Length: 1 hour
This qualification course will fulfill the proficiency requirements necessary to apply to your state or federal agency for retired law enforcement credentials that will authorize you carry a concealed handgun in accordance with LEOSA (H.R. 218) and its Amendments of 2010 and 2013.
Required Equipment: Handgun (carry handgun), spare magazine, concealed carry holster and 1 box (50 rounds) of ammunition.
